Review Statement
Sustainable Development Without Borders: Western Sydney University to the World: 2025 edition was developed with the support of Western Open Books.[1] Western Sydney University’s initiative empowers authors to create and publish open-access textbooks and resources that align with the University’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). At the heart of this initiative are rigorous quality assurance processes designed to ensure that all open textbooks meet the highest standards and address the needs of diverse audiences.
This text underwent a thorough peer review process involving two subject experts from different higher education institutions. The research and content were evaluated through an open review by one reviewer and a closed review by the other, based on their respective areas of expertise. Both reviewers, specialists in sustainability, provided invaluable feedback to refine and enhance the text’s quality and relevance.
The reviews assessed the book’s comprehensiveness, accuracy, and suitability for its intended audience.
